For Armorsmith pieces, they will need Armor assembly to get a socket. For Droid Engineer parts, they will need Droid Assembly to get a socket. For Tailor parts, they will need Clothing Assembly to get a socket.
History of Mandalorian Armor Crafting At first the armor color was not customizable, but was determined randomly from several different precolored sets. The Mandalorian Armor was not known for high condition (~%40), and was primarily kept as a status symbol due to the expense and hardship of production.

The design of Mandalorian armor changed a great deal in the seven millennia after the Taung first settled the planet Mandalore. The first, widely recognizable version was the Crusader Armor which was the signature armor worn by the Mandalorian Crusaders led by Mandalore the Indomitable during the Great Sith War. It had a jagged, organic form that varied from soldier to soldier. The design of Crusader Armor was centered around defending its wearer during melee combat, which was considered by the Mandalorians to be the most honorable form of battle. During Mandalore the Ultimate’s reign as Mandalore, the Neo-Crusader Armor was designed for use in the Mandalorian Wars. By the time of the Jedi Civil War, it had become quite uniform in design and came in various colors, including blue, red, and yellow, which represented different ranks in the hierarchy of the Mandalorian Clans.
A Neo-Crusader in blue armor. Millennia later, the Mandalorian Supercommando armor was developed to replace the older designs which were now referred to as Mandalorian Shock Trooper Armor. It was no longer full body armor, but partial armor that left limbs almost completely undefended, and focused its strength on the vital areas such as the torso, head, and groin. The New Mandalorian armor was a collection of blast resistant plates, made from Mandalorian iron or duraplast, which were attached to a waterproof, armor mesh flight suit. A liner shirt with a micro energy field projector and two layers of ceramic plates greatly improve protection around the chest, back, and stomach. The careful layering of segmented armor plates ensured mobility, which could be further increased by wearing a jetpack. The Mandalorians began to see the value of extra weapons mounted on the suit, and so simple dart shooters, grappling wires, wrist-mounted rocket launchers and flamethrowers were added to the overall assault capabilities of a Mandalorian Supercommando. The helmet alone was the control center of most of the suit’s abilities. A range finder attached to the duraplast armored helmet could track up to thirty targets, while a battle computer inside the helmet allowed the wearer to control the suit’s weapons, sensors, and jet pack through verbal commands. The dark macrobinocular viewplate offered a variety of vision modes, including infrared. A pineal eye sensor on the helmet combined with an internal overlay display to provide tracking information within a 360-degree radius. Motion sensors, an encrypted internal comlink, and a broad-band antenna completed the helmet’s devices, all of which could be linked to the wearer’s weapons or their personal starship. The helmet could also act as a environmental filter system, with a two hour reserve tank providing breathable air to the Mandalorian warrior. During the Galactic Civil War, the Death Watch Mandalorians colluded with the Black Sun to manufacture Crusader MK III armor in the Death Watch Bunker on Endor. This was a Mandalorian armor variant and they produced two different versions of it, one to sell to the Empire and one to sell to the Rebel Alliance. The armor was used most notably during the Battle of Restuss. During the reign of Darth Malak, Bastila Shan, Mission Vao, Zaalbar, T3-M4, Jolee Bindo, Revan, HK-47, Canderous Ordo, Carth Onasi, and Juhani encountered many Mandalorian warriors on their missions. They met them most commonly on Dantooine and Kashyyyk.

A side quest of sorts is Wampa Valley. In a side room in Echo Base, between the Medical Center and the Cantina, you will find a Level 95 elite Wampa. Take him down, and when he is dead, move out into the dark hallway to Wampa Valley. Once outside you will see rampid Wampas, along with some Tauntauns running around. These drop junk loot such as human skulls, Tauntaun bones and skeletons, etc. Kill everything possible in the area.
After killing all the wampas in the valley, there will be a Boss level 95 Wampa Unkajo (A Wampa Skullcrusher).
NOTE: Before anyone attacks him, make sure your group is together up in the area by the wampa, which is also by a deserted structure. It’d be advisable for the main tank to get up by the Wampa’s food bowl due to de-aggro problems if he is brought too close to the barrier.
As soon as someone attacks him a barrier comes up, trapping you in with the wampa, and keeping anyone from getting in, so it is important to keep your group together so no one gets locked out. The Boss Wampa isn’t terribly hard, until a few smaller Boss Wampas come running to aid him. Here, having a couple more tanks to take on the adds is helpful. Also if you pull anything back too far to the barrier it is found to de-aggro Unkajo, and reset the fight. If you have a couple of good medics and a few tanks, this may be long but doable.
Also, Unkajo emotes to throw certain things at people that debuff you like rotten Tauntaun corpses or snow. When you see him preparing to throw snow at you, run clear of your groupmates. You will be encased in a block of ice which isn’t attackable like the crystals in the Axkva Min instance. However, when a groupmate is announced to get hit with a rotten Tauntaun corpse, he needs to run to someone who is stuck in a block of ice, if any. If the thrown corpse lands on a groupmate in a block of ice, it’ll make the ice melt and will release the prisoner.
Unkajo has been known to drop a Wampa Storyteller Token, a Tauntaun Rucksack (similar to the Tusken King one) and is, on rare occasions, dropping a 90% Wampa DNA Storage Device.
Fight on the North BattleField ( Hoth )
Imperials can use ATSTs
The Battlefield Imperial might in action
The Shield Generator
Imperial Storm CommandoThe north field is the primary battle line. The Empire is making their move toward the shield generator and the Rebels are trying their utmost to buy time for those still in Echo Base.
Imperial objectives
Imperial forces consist of AT-ATs and AT-STs supported by the snowtrooper light infantry. You and your group can commandeer the AT-STs to take on the Rebellion’s troops on the ground.
Everyone takes his own ATST, and you spread out in a long line.
Everyone then rushes forward to destroy the three lines of defense. Each line of defense or “LoD” contains NPCS and turrets. Npcs have the usual range of npcs, 35-45m. These and only these can do you damage. Eliminate them fast! Also in each LoD are clumps or batteries of turrets. These have a range of 300 meters and do damage to the ATATs. With your ATSTs having a weapons range of less than 95m you can kill the npcs, then blast the turrets as you run by them. TURRETS MUST GO DOWN FAST! After a LoD is cleared you need to rush to the next one, this is where your “line” comes in, because between each LoD is a randomly spread out line of anti-vechile mines. Touch one and boom…your ATST is done for. For an ATAT…I imagine it won’t last much longer. Your line needs to spread out and walk forward, watching for these mines that appear only at 45-35 meters or less range. (I have made a macro myself for the placement of the mines. The locations are not always the same but it gives me a good idea where to look)
It is essential that everyone moves fast, and works semi-independantly and together. For each battery of turrets it helps for the extra firepower with someone helping. NPCS need to be killed first and fast, then the turrets as you move forward to the next line. Your weapons are like commando weapons, they have a AOE affect and will not immediately hit a moving target. Hit the turret a few times till the npcs have finally rushed you and are stationary, then switch back to them and kill them. Once the npcs are done, then move on to the turrets.
Ignore the snowspeeders till all the turrets are done. They are impossible to hit while flying (best chances are when they are turning around as they remain stationary long enough to get a hit or two off) and its best to do it at the end when your waiting for the ATATs to catch up. A good team will finish all three LoD’s in a very short time, with almost 5 minutes of waiting for the ATAT’s to catch up and blow the shields.
Brawl inside Echo BaseEcho Base is a major Rebel stronghold, so there is a significant amount of material vital to the survival of the Alliance located inside the base.
Darth Vader and the Empire are focused on capturing the leaders of the Rebellion as well as any vital information inside.
Imperial objectives
With the primary shield generator destroyed, reinforcements are arriving quickly from the Star Destroyers in orbit above. Assist snowtroopers, grenadiers, and squad leaders inside the mazelike caverns of Echo Base to secure the Rebel’s supplies in the base.
Vader may look cool, but until you get to the hangar, he’s useless. There are tons of npcs at the bottom of the first elevator, make sure you’re buffed up before you go down.
Infiltrate and disable the command center inside the base to deal a major blow to the Rebellion’s evacuation efforts.
Take the Medical Center quickly, this will allow you to clone there, instead of outside the base, this will save you alot of walking. Spies are acutally semi-useful in this section, they can intercept rebel supply carriers and sabotage crates before the rest of the team arrives.
Victory at the Evacuation Point
One of the most vital areas of Echo Base is the evacuation point, a field where the transports and their escorts are taking off to escape the wrath of the Empire. Most of the non-combat personnel have already departed from Hoth, leaving a large concentration of Rebel forces still on the base. Failing all else, this is the last line of defense for the Rebels and the ultimate victory for the Imperials.
Imperial objectives
This is your last chance to wreak havoc on the retreating Alliance forces. Imperial snowtroopers may join you in the assault or remain inside the base fighting pockets of resistance.
Concentrate your firepower on the remaining transports and caches of supplies and equipment to make a dent in the Rebels’ resources.
Once you go up the elevator, you’ll see an Imperial Officer, Dont talk to him until your group is all ready, as this starts the final phase. Move up quickly, going right seems to be the best option here. There are 2 phalanx guards and a Phalanx Commander under each transport, once you kill them, the transport becomes attackable.
The Transport takeoff here is NOT on a timer, it depends on the evacuation pilots reaching the transports, a few group members should split off to intercept these while the majority of the group concentrates on destroying the transports.
